Tele-classes create innovative learning opportunities for motorcyclists.
Orangeville, ON - January 4, 2006 - Trillium Motorcycle Tours announces a new learning opportunity for riders and prospective riders. Men and women today are juggling family and career responsibilities but still want to learn about riding or enhance their knowledge and skills. Distance learning is growing rapidly in popularity and Trillium's new tele-class series is the answer to their need.
"Winter is the perfect time to take advantage of tele-classes and prepare for spring riding. They are convenient and easy to participate in" says Liz Jansen, president of Trillium Motorcycle Tours Inc. "Students who are reluctant to ask questions or express themselves in a conventional classroom are more comfortable responding in an on-line environment, at their own pace and in their own time. There is nothing to be wary or afraid of, and most people find they like this way of distance learning."
Current tele-class topics include How to Get Started in Motorcycling, How to Buy the Right Motorcycle, How to Inspect your Motorcycle and Keep it in Top Condition, Selecting Appropriate Apparel and Maximizing the Safety of your Ride. Trillium will also be hosting hands-on workshops where participants will have an opportunity for practical demonstrations on their own motorcycle.

Educational events create innovative means for Women motorcyclists to enhance their ride.
Orangeville, ON - March 31, 2005 - Trillium Motorcycle Tours announces a new opportunity for women riders. The number of women has increased to 10% of all motorcycle owners and while the industry is responding and directing their attention to this growing market segment, there is still a need for related services directed specifically for women. The launch of a new educational series is the answer to their need.
"Although women put a lot of thought into the purchase phase of motorcycling, they soon realize that there are benefits to be gained by learning more about preparing for the ride" says Liz Jansen, president of Trillium Motorcycle Tours Inc. "This goes beyond basic technical awareness and includes making sure that they're physically and psychologically ready for the ride".
Trillium has collaborated with motorcycle and health industry experts to facilitate a series of hands on events focused on understanding how to keep one's motorcycle and one's self optimally prepared for riding. Partners for these events include Cycle City , The Motorcycle Store (TMS), ParkerBros Powersports, Harmony Health Natural Therapy Centre, Burlington Family Chiropractic and Clarkson Medical Arts Centre.
More than just standard maintenance sessions, participants will have an opportunity for practical demonstrations on their own bikes. Additionally, natural health experts will advise on topics specific to the health needs of riders.
Jansen believes that to fully enjoy the ride, we need to make sure we're caring for our bodies as much as we're caring for our bikes. This sentiment is in keeping with Trilliums belief that "we're so much more than the ride".
Liz Jansen is a rider, trainer and entrepreneur.
