About Liz

LizLiz Jansen is an author, consultant, writer, adventurer, and rider extraordinaire. She’s thrilled that her work now brings her experience in the corporate world together with her love of adventure.

For many years, she enjoyed a successful career in Human Resources and Training with a large international organization. In 2003, Liz recognized that it was time for a change; time to pursue a lifestyle that was personally more meaningful; where through her inherent gifts she could be of greater service.

Following a two-month solo motorcycle odyssey around North America, she founded Trillium Motorcycle Tours & Events. Her mission: to create the environment for others to discover their personal power and grow – using the motorcycle as a means of transformation. Through her practice, she has served hundreds of clients and her network reaches across Canada, the US and to Europe and Australia.

Liz was elected to the Board of the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) in 2006 and elected Board Chair in 2009. That same year she served on the Advisory Council for the American Motorcyclist Association’s International Women and Motorcycling Conference. Inspired by its potential, Liz became MCC’s Project Manager and organized Canada’s first International Women Riders Congress & Festival in 2010 – an event focusing on leadership, personal power and role modeling.

Liz is a Senior Motorcycle Instructor at Humber College in Toronto. She has worked directly with individual and corporate clients, motorcycle manufacturers, retailers, Ontario Tourism and numerous regional tourism associations. She has been a contributing writer to the Toronto Star, Canadian Biker, Motorcycle.com, Ontario Tourism motorcycle touring website and other publications. Her expertise has been sought for interviews on television, traditional and on-line radio, magazine and newspaper articles.
