3 day casual fun ride through Eastern Ontario and some of the best riding in Ontario!. Our destination is the Village of Westport on the historic Rideau Canal waterway between Kingston and Ottawa – which has been officially, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our route will take us through Northumberland County as we head east. We’ll follow a natural ridge east which gives rise to some breathtaking vistas. We've discovered some unique local eateries and quality craft shops throughout the area which we'll share with you.
Both nights will be spent at the Cove Country Inn Resort & Spa, right on the Rideau Canal in Westport. The Cove has a popular licensed dining room with full menu, a patio overlooking the water and a newly renovated pub/piano lounge - and spa services. We’ll use it as our base of operations and have an opportunity to explore the area, partake in some optional activities and be guided through some wonderful scenery.
We’ll arrive Friday in time to enjoy dinner and relax. There are many art galleries, art studios, boutiques and antique shops located nearby – and of course lots of great riding! Saturday, is dedicated to exploring the many scenic roads in the area – and it’s a rider’s delight. We’ll make the most of it before returning to Westport for the evening.
Sunday, after a full breakfast, we’ll return west along a more northerly route and experience even more of Ontario’s picturesque byways.
